E-hobby G1 Reissue Anime Accurate Bluestreak

E-hobby Bluestreak…Bluestreak fans must get this as this version is the anime accurate.
The rest of the versions are considered Silverstreak. If you want a bigger challenge and have cash to spare, you may want to search for the diaclone black hood blue streak. But its really rare to find one in nice condition…i had to settle for the lesser brother…this e-hobby version.

This reissue came 18 years later in 2002…The mold deterioration can be clearly seen on the face. No longer does the face have distinct and clear lines.

This Nissan Fairlady mold never fails to impress…even though it is a reissue.
When ever i hold it in my hands, the weight and feel is just nice…coupled with the rubber wheels…perfect!

Prowl, Prowl and Prowl

Taking these pictures and writing this makes me feel like a Prowl slut, but i'm not. Really.
Just happen to own these molds.
In fact, i'm already in love with the G1 Prowl/Streak/Smokescreen mold.
Just got a Universe Deluxe Prowl off a reseller. Yes, i do not have CHUG Prowl before this and i'm wondering why it took so long…fortunately, i did not have to pay a really absurd price for this.
Here's the photo of the 3 versions together…in alternate car mode.
The masterpiece as always is an exact replica of its G1 counterpart, sporting a Fairlady Mold.

In bot mode, the masterpiece is just slightly taller than its deluxe cousin,  but with tons of articulation.
The CHUG Prowl, disappoints me in terms of mold and robustness of the toy. Don't really like this version of Prowl. The doors are flimsy, pop out easily during transformation.
The G1 piece shown here is the Takara box reissue. The details on the face shows mold degradation, but as i've said before the mold rocks big time!
Masterpiece designs never fail to disappoint. but the material of construction disappoints me.

Details of the Masterpiece Prowl's head sculpt.
Very clear lines and you can see a fresh mold used. (look at a reassure Prowl/Streak's face and you will know what i am talking about.

I still feel the G1 mold wins the competition with MP Prowl close behind.
The reasons are the die cast, rubber wheels. The MP mold technically is far better, representing anime Prowl in all categories, but as a toy, it lacks the feel of a masterpiece…lacking the metal and rubber.
I always feel that the later pieces of the masterpiece, have not enough or zero die cast.
TakaraTomy, please please please start to put in diecsat and rubber wheels for future masterpieces…

Transformers G1 Prowl reissue.

Prowl here is similar to Bluestreak, which i posted earlier.
Talking about Prowl was sorta a joke.
When the Takara Boxed Series reissued prowl, i bought it straight away.
A couple of years later, i sold it...when i decided to collect the autobot cars, i bought it again, and of coz at a higher price. Call me stupid.
This piece came MISB, i un-MISBed it, but did not put on the stickers, so here you have it....a naked Prowl. Different from the commemorative, the takara boxes comes with chromed weapons and missiles.

Always a nice piece to play with ....

Transformers G1 Commemorative Reissue Silverstreak

When i decided to pursue the autobot cars, i did not really bother if it is a vintage or a reissue.
So i bought this commemorative Bluestreak off ebay, MISB.
This version is more of Silverstreak then Bluestreak.
Even the anime version is not exactly blue.
There is an ehobby version which is anime accurate, Black and silver.

The autobots cars are in my terms the masterpieces of Transformers....Diecast, rubber wheels, full of playability...articulation is not as advanced as recent toys but that's the beauty of it. that's the attraction. Lesser is better. And the streak/prowl/smokescreen is one fo the best mold ever along with the Countach (Sideswipe) mold.

This commemorative piece comes with stickers applied. I've took it out to transform it once, then it as put on display since. (This is like 2 years ago). Just took it out to play from the display yesterday and discovered that the stickers are peeling off. So much for Quality reissues...vintages are still the best!
Another point to note...the weapon and his missiles are not chromed in this version.
The hobby version and the vintage are all having chromed guns and missiles.

The alternate mode: Datsun Fairlady Z.
I keep repeating, G1 cars + Diecast + rubber wheels = Excellent toy.
Really really missed those rubber wheels on curent collections.

Transformers Encore 23 G1 Fortress Maximus. YES!

Yes yes yes!!!!
Finally reissued. Encore 23 Fortress Maximus!
On foam tray too!! Yipee!!!!
TT probably figured that plastic trays won't work for a figure that heavy. But they could have followed the Brave Max packaging using cardboard...but foam!!! WOW!!! Really happy to see styrofoam back in Transformers packaging. I mean when was the last time?!!

The box

The Artwork...typical vintage!!

The coin holder

Looks more like a badge as they continue with the coins collection.

An extra gift that comes together with the encore...a handphone jack protector....a cast of the fortress maximus's head in DIECAST!!!

Packaging of the free gift.

THE FOAM!!!!

Instruction sheet...did not open...i know the fort inside out...and could transform him with my eyes closed.

The Master Sword

The accessories that come in a bag.

Beauty in foam.

Currently the biggest transformer til date steps out of the foam tray..

Cerebros: Alternate Fort Max mode.

Spike: Alternate Cerebros head mode

Head on!!

Spike.

Getting ready for war...

Battle station mode.

Top view of the battle station.

Autobot City mode...the kiddo loves this mode the best! Most play value!

Red knob to raise and lower the car elevator

This is where the car goes in and the elevator is raised.

The red rectangle button/lever, upon depressed, will push the car out and down the slope.
The radar, can be rotated using a dial at the side.
Kiddo playing with fort max immediately, bringing out all his minature toy cars.

Even Thomas and friends are parked in fort max.

One thing i noticed was that the ramp for the left hand had stress marks...its on the lever that you can use to push forward, launching the car on the red ramp forward.

Cerebros with his master sword.

With his blaster.

Spike, sitting in the city tower.

Absolutely love this! Will get to putting the stickers on, but will take abit as there are ALOT of stickers...bit lazy to really get on with it.
Apart from the stressmark on the left hand ramp, eveyrthing's cool.
TakaraTomy, bring on GRAND MAX next!!!
