Transformers Ehobby G1 Clampdown

This is probably my favorite rendition of sideswipe mold.
Would be good if i can ever get my hands on a Diaclone Police Sideswipe!
The other would be the Diaclone Police Sunstreaker....but for these 2 diaclone pieces, it is almost impossible to find anyone wanting to let go...
The next thing i need to worry about is the yellowing of the white car.
Got this, also an ehobby issue, together with Deepcover. This is Clampdown. Similarly launched in 2003, Clampdown comes together with Deepcover as a set. I got both of them MISB and almost immediately un-MISB them the moment i got my hands on them.

Alternate mode is still a Lamborgini Countach LP500S (of course! it's a Sideswipe!) but with the light bar and decals/stickers....this fella is now a police car.

If the traffic police start to use Lambos as police cars......................

Just love the die cast. and i'm still sore about TakaraTomy not using diecast for the Sideswipe/Red Alert/Tigertracks masterpieces. AND.....rubber wheels...yes, long time ago but still sore....

ehobby brothers standing side-by-side.

Artwork, artwork, artwork. A pity that ehobby issues does not come with an artwork on the box. ehobby boxes are just simple box with a large window.

Transformers Ehobby Deepcover (G1 Sideswipe)

This is the second ehobby piece after Tigertracks.
Ehobby Deepcover. Using the G1 Sideswipe mold again.
As i've said...suddenly being poisoned by this mold, I had to get my hands on all versions.
The biggest hurdle would be the diaclone versions which i have started searching....

This fella was released in 2003 as an ehobby exclusive...and it took me 10 years to get hooked....damn...where was i all this while? Nearly went to ebay to get this, and a friend managed to secure both Deepcover and Clampdown for me...

Another recolor of the Sideswipe mold...bot mode is not too bad...

but my favorite for this will be the alternate mode: Lamborghini Countach LP500S.
A lambo in black...cool...

Brand New...MISB and i un-MISB it!!
Of course all papers are still sealed.

Close up of the Bio card...

If you know about this piece, you should know what to expect in the next post.....

Transformers G1 Prowl reissue.

Prowl here is similar to Bluestreak, which i posted earlier.
Talking about Prowl was sorta a joke.
When the Takara Boxed Series reissued prowl, i bought it straight away.
A couple of years later, i sold it...when i decided to collect the autobot cars, i bought it again, and of coz at a higher price. Call me stupid.
This piece came MISB, i un-MISBed it, but did not put on the stickers, so here you have it....a naked Prowl. Different from the commemorative, the takara boxes comes with chromed weapons and missiles.

Always a nice piece to play with ....

The alternate mode: Datsun 280ZX

Transformers G1 Commemorative Reissue Silverstreak

When i decided to pursue the autobot cars, i did not really bother if it is a vintage or a reissue.
So i bought this commemorative Bluestreak off ebay, MISB.
This version is more of Silverstreak then Bluestreak.
Even the anime version is not exactly blue.
There is an ehobby version which is anime accurate, Black and silver.

The autobots cars are in my terms the masterpieces of Transformers....Diecast, rubber wheels, full of playability...articulation is not as advanced as recent toys but that's the beauty of it. that's the attraction. Lesser is better. And the streak/prowl/smokescreen is one fo the best mold ever along with the Countach (Sideswipe) mold.

This commemorative piece comes with stickers applied. I've took it out to transform it once, then it as put on display since. (This is like 2 years ago). Just took it out to play from the display yesterday and discovered that the stickers are peeling off. So much for Quality reissues...vintages are still the best!
Another point to note...the weapon and his missiles are not chromed in this version.
The hobby version and the vintage are all having chromed guns and missiles.

The alternate mode: Datsun Fairlady Z.
I keep repeating, G1 cars + Diecast + rubber wheels = Excellent toy.
Really really missed those rubber wheels on curent collections.
