Fansproject CA-05 Backfiery (Not Kickback)

The third and the last of the Fansproject insects....Backfiery (Not Kickback)

Kickback is my favourite insecticons and this Fansproject mold has no injustice to it.

To me, Backfiery seems to be potrayed as a ninja or some sort of assassin with lots of daggers.

Again, the head seems a tad too small or the torso abit too bulky.

Alternate Grasshopper mode looks great! and there's not much legs to adjust for balance unlike the other 2 insects..

Fansproject CA-04 Stormbomb (Not Bombshell)

Fansproject CA-04 Stormbomb (Not Bombshell)

This mold is a better mold, easier to transform.

Head to body ratio is better but still slightly out.

The chain can be quite irritating when you're trying to pose the figure but nothing life threatening...

Alternate insect mode is cool as Thundershred but the adjustment of the legs are equally tough to "balance" the figure

Fansproject CA-03 Thundershred (Not Shrapnel)

Waited awhile before finally deciding to get the "Not Insecticons".

I love the G1 pieces to death....But these 3rd party stuffs have improved so much that i just can't ignore....

By Fansproject, CA-03 the leader of the Insecticons, Thundershred (Not shrapnel)

G1-like? yes....ease of play? abit difficult. Thundershred, to me compared to the rest of the "Not insecticons" is abit more difficult to transform. Joints are very tight for the hip and knee ball joints....The insect legs can sometimes get into the way...articulation is there...when i look at it for awhile, i find the head is rather small for the bulky body mass...

Alternate insect mode is "fierce"....Looks like a real beetle!!

The legs are a little bit difficult to adjust to get it to stand straight. (The insect legs are all on ball joints)

Custom Transformers Insecticon: Shrapnel (WIP)

Got some loose insects from the flea market in China Square...started on articulation and new paint job for shrapnel...will proceed with the other 2 insects when i have the necessary parts available...
Shrapnel isn't exactly completed yet...pending some details on the paint and some faction decals....but the pictures shown are about 95% complete....
Painted fully with tamiya enamels...and legs now have articulated crotch and knees, hands are articulated at the shoulders and elbows...didn't do anything to the fists though....

Toys R Us Exclusive Transformers Universe G1 Insecticons

Pondered for some time whether to get this set...The G1-ness in this felled me...
The slips for this item were no more, luckily i went to check with the TRU staff and was told that the insects are still available!!
MISB in C9.5 condition!! :)
